Read before your flight
- Meeting point in Doussard, at the car park of the village hall (salle polyvalente), at the junction of route du Pont Monnet and route de la Plaine, 30 to 40 minutes before or after sunrise depending on the season and the weather. Please arrive a few minutes early.
- Take-off from Doussard, Saint-Jorioz or Alex depending on the wind: the site and time are confirmed the evening before.
- It is colder at altitude (up to 3,000 m): bring a warm layer.
- What to wear: closed shoes and long trousers (the fields are often wet), a cap or beanie against the heat of the burners, clothes that are neither fragile nor light-coloured.
No fixed date? Be the first to hear about places freed up by a cancellation or about new flights, and pay directly on site. Your number stays confidential.

How long is my ticket valid?
2 years for the shared basket flight, the private flight and the gift card. 1 year for the weekday offer, valid on weekdays only, excluding school holidays and public holidays.
What happens if the flight is cancelled?
Safety comes first: in case of wind, rain or poor visibility, the flight is postponed and your ticket remains valid. How to postpone your flight →

Why do I need to give the passengers' weight?
A hot air balloon must respect a maximum load, which depends on the total weight, the temperature and the altitude. This is what determines how many passengers can fly on the day.
How can I pay?
Online by credit card, when you buy your ticket on our Capcadeau shop. If you book directly with the pilot: deposit by bank transfer or cheque, then the balance on the day of the flight by cheque or in cash.
Who can fly?
All passengers who are at least 1.30 m (4 ft 3 in) tall and able to stand throughout the flight. Any minor who is not accompanied by both parents, or whose parents are separated, must present a parental authorisation. Pregnant women cannot fly.
Can I give a flight as a gift?
Yes: every ticket can be given as a gift, and the gift card, for any amount from €200, lets the recipient choose their option (if it costs more, they pay the difference).
What is the difference between a shared basket and a private flight?
In a shared basket, you fly with other passengers (4 to 6 passengers in total, depending on weight). With a private flight, the basket is reserved for your group.
